H&M's flagship store in Times Square is one of the most digitally enabled retail stores we've seen. The most interesting corner in the store is probably the H&M Runway, tucked in the mezzanine level. The H&M Runway lets you try on any clothing, walk down the shinny catwalk and strike a pose. You can view your runway walk in both video and still images right afterward on the spot and also on the small screens throughout the store. After a few minutes, the video is available on the dedicated H&M Runway website, where you can share it via Facebook, Twitter, and Google+. What's crazier is that, if the store staff thinks, you've got the right moves, your video might be shown on their gigantic outdoor signage overlooking Times Square!
This runway experience is really fun when you are with your silly friends and just want to show off your abnormal yet cool walk. We think if the website video can even list out what H&M pieces the person was wearing and link it back to the online store, that would bring the digital retail experience to another level!
